Fritz Hansen, also known as Republic of Fritz Hansen, is a Danish furniture design company. It was founded in 1872, when a Danish carpenter, Fritz Hansen, founded his own furniture company and in 1915 introduced his first chair in steam bent wood. In 1934, Fritz Hansen began his collaboration with Arne Jacobsen resulting in some of the famous, classic icons of Danish Design

Arne Jacobsen’s classic Series 7™ is a chair with a shell in clear lacquer. The culmination of the lamination technique was represented by this four-legged stackable chair.  The possibilities of lamination to perfection resulting in the iconic shape of the chair was exploited by the visionary Arne Jacobsen. Series 7™ comes in different veneers and finishes. All chairs are made of pressure molded sliced veneer.

This process includes a thorough deep clean, a frame re-spray if necessary, replacement gas, new arm caps and a complete re-cover with new fabric or leather. Once your chair is ready for despatch, it is inspected once more before packing. Your refurbished office chair will arrive in a tri-walled cardboard to protect it during transit. If it being delivered with our own transport, it will be covered in plastic sheeting.
