Refurbished Humanscale Freedom High Back with Headrest – Polished Aluminium – Wine Dark Red Leather
Humanscale makes products that allow workstations to adapt to the consumer as the founder and leader in office ergonomics, not the other way around. Established in 1983 by CEO Bob King, Humanscale is now the global ergonomics pioneer with a reputation for developing intuitive products that enhance the comfort and wellbeing of office workers, with an emphasis on high-performance instruments that promote a safer, more active way of working.
The Humanscale Freedom Chair redefines the notion of conventional task chairs. Designer Niels Diffrient intended to develop an office chair that adapts to the user automatically, enabling them to move from posture to posture freely. For a genuinely ergonomic job chair, Diffrient’s unique solution eliminated complications found in other seats, such as awkward recline levers and back tension dials. As a result, he built a recline mechanism that adapts to the consumer perfectly, certainly reinventing modern task seating to be very simple, practical and beautiful.
The Humanscale Freedom Chair is described by The New York Times as “the gold standard in office seating”.
